The ship ran aground at Europa Point. Help was made available from Spain and Gilbralter.

It seems the crew of the 25 year old Liberian registered ship had been doing some engine maintenance and set the project aside overnight in spite of the fact a storm was predicted.

The storm came up and the anchor began to drag.. as they do.

The crew were rescued in small lots. A fortuitous weather window allowed a chopper in for the last of them.
